For my newscast, I chose three local, three regional and one national stories. As part of my local coverage, I focused on news from Maryville's City Council Meeting Monday evening. I also talked about a motorcycle accident that took place Monday evening in Clarinda, Iowa.
In regional news, I discussed a Missouri State Supreme Court hearing centered around a Missouri man who was sentenced to the death penalty for the murder of a 10 year old girl. I also talked about the birth of an endangered rhino at Des Moines' Blank Park Zoo and a Southern Missouri woman who was arrested for dousing a man with lighter fluid.
Nationally, I focused on the disappearance of a couple from New York who vanished while vacationing in the Dominican Republic.
