I'm not sure that anyone could have correctly predicted the way Notre Dame's season went last year. Despite solid QB play from DeShone Kizer, the Irish finished 4-8 due to cruel play in clutch situations. Seven of their eight losses came by one score or less. Luck is a cruel mistress, however the Irish seem apt to make a turn around this year and they will pry need to keep Brian Kelly's job. Kelly will have to rely on new starting Quarterback Brandon Wimbush who has thrown a total of five passes during his career. Luckily Wimbush will have Josh Adams in the backfield (933 yds, 5 TD's) and will have returning starter Equanimeous St. Brown (58 rec, 961 yds, 9 TD's) and will be protected on the O-Line by one of the best tackles in the country in Mike McGlinchey along with a fairly veteran O-Line. On the defensive side, they are expected to be led by their veteran linebacking corp that includes Nyles Morgan, who led the team in tackles last year. Their schedule is tough, but that's common at Notre Dame, they do luck out and get USC and Georgia at home.
Projected Record: 9-3
